1. Who we are

Goa Self Drive Car Rental operates goaselfdrivecarrental.com, a self-drive car rental service in Goa, India. For any privacy question, contact us at hello@goaselfdrivecarrental.com.

2. What this website collects

This website has no user accounts, no payment processing and shows no advertising. It usesGoogle Analytics 4, a service of Google, to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located, the device and browser used, and how they arrived. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device (for example _ga) and receives your IP address and these usage details, which Google processes under its ownprivacy policy. We use the results only to improve the website.

You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with Google'sbrowser add-on. Apart from Google Analytics, fonts and images are served from our own site. The only other thing stored on your device is your light or dark theme choice, kept in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it.

The quote calculator and booking form run in your browser. The details you type (name, phone number, trip dates, pickup and drop-off points, chosen car) are not sent to our servers by the form. They are placed into a WhatsApp message that you choose to send.

3. Information you give us when you book or enquire

When you contact us through WhatsApp, phone or email, or complete a rental, we may receive:

• Your name, phone number and email address.
• Trip details: dates, times, pickup and drop-off locations, and the car you want.
• Identity and driving documents we need to rent you a car: a driving licence, plus Aadhaar or passport (and an International Driving Permit for foreign visitors).
• Handover and return records, such as condition notes, fuel level and the security deposit.
• Anything else you choose to tell us in messages.

4. How we use your information

• To prepare quotes, confirm availability and manage your booking.
• To verify that you are eligible to drive and to complete the handover and return.
• To handle the refundable deposit, damage, fines or challans, and any insurance or accident matter.
• To provide support, including 24/7 roadside assistance.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to protect our legal rights.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not run advertising on this website.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only where needed to deliver the service:

• Google (Analytics): usage data collected on this website is processed by Google as described above.
• WhatsApp (Meta): messages you send or receive on WhatsApp are processed by WhatsApp under its own terms and privacy policy.
• Service providers: for example insurers, repair partners or roadside assistance, only for the part of your rental that involves them.
• Authorities: police, transport or other authorities, if the law requires it or in connection with an accident, fine or offence involving the vehicle.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as needed to provide the rental, resolve disputes and meet legal and tax requirements. After that we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

7. Security

We limit access to documents and booking details to the people who need them, and we ask you to share licence and ID photos only through the channels we give you. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, so please avoid sending information you do not need to share.

8. Your rights

Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it where we no longer need it. You can also withdraw consent for optional uses and raise a complaint with us. Email hello@goaselfdrivecarrental.comand we will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Children

Our service is for adults. Drivers must be 21 or older, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Links to other sites

Opening WhatsApp or following a link takes you to a service we do not control. Their privacy practices are theirs.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our service changes, for example if we add online payments. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
